Emotional Harmony

 
 

Emotions are a wonderful part of life. They allow us to feel, love, connect and experience the world with others. However, so many of us allow our emotions to be determined, not by our inner self, but by the often chaotic world that surrounds us.

The problem with staking our happiness and peace in our circumstances is that this world is constantly in flux. We have good days and we have bad days that are, typically, completely outside of our control, which means that we are on a constant roller coaster ride of emotions.

This type of living is incredibly exhausting. 

The truth is that we can't always escape the chaos and difficulties of our lives, so how do we find joy in our lives despite the circumstances that surround us?

I believe emotional harmony is the answer.

What is Emotional Harmony?

Emotional harmony is the idea that people can experience inner peace and rest, despite chaotic circumstances, negative emotions or difficult trials. It is a process of positive internal communication, belief work, and securing your joy in that which is constant and unchanging.

It's important for me to note that joy is different than happiness. Happiness is an emotion that is sometimes defined by our circumstances which means it may not be able to be a constant in our lives. Joy comes from connecting with that which is steady, tried and true, on-going, and ever present.

Happiness and disappointment can randomly happen to us. If we allow happiness to be our standard for how we want to feel, we will constantly be swinging back and forth on a pendulum of emotions.

I believe that by finding emotional harmony within, you get to enjoy feeling joyful or at peace, and live feeling safe, loved, connected, valuable, guided, resourceful, included and productive despite what your outside circumstances and limiting beliefs might be telling your mind to feel.

Emotional harmony is one of the centerpieces of my coaching ideology because it's absolutely critical to shaping how we perceive the world that surrounds us and how we act upon external influences. It shapes how we work, how we pursue our passions, how we interact with our families, friends and loved ones, and how we deal with the stressors and problems that naturally arise.

Emotional Harmony work gets beneath surface emotions and encourages you to identify and understand what beliefs are creating your emotions and discover the sustainable truths that you can ground yourself upon.

Securing yourself to what is constant inside, along with some actual communication tools, and a few other tools sprinkled in, will bring emotional harmony to flow through your heart, body, and soul. You can bring that fresh presence to whomever you come in contact and take it with you wherever you go.

When we experience harmony within ourselves and are emotionally grounded in unchanging truths, in essence, we get to choose, so much more often, how we feel.  Our peace is always available.
